En outre, l'invention fournit la séquence d'ADN de la région adjacente au locus d'insertion de l'événement EE-I de l'aubergine. L'invention a également trait à un procédé destiné à détecter la présence ou l'absence d'un événement EE-1 d'une aubergine spécifique. L'invention se rapporte aussi à un procédé de diagnostic destiné à détecter ledit événement élite EE-1 relatif à une aubergine spécifique dans des aubergines transgéniques. De plus, l'invention porte sur un kit destiné à identifier les plantes transgéniques renfermant l'événement élite EE-I."
"The present invention relates to an insect resistant transgenic brinjal (Solanum melongena, eggplant) plant, plant cell, seed and progeny thereof comprising a specific event EE-1. The EE-1 event results from single locus integration of a construct expressing the crylAc gene of Bacillus thuringiensis. Further, the invention provides the DNA sequence of the region flanking the insertion locus of the brinjal plant EE-1 event. It also relates to a process of detecting the presence or absence of specific brinjal plant EE-1 event. The invention also provides a diagnostic method for distinguishing the said specific brinjal plant EE-1 elite event in transgenic brinjal plants. The invention further provides a kit for identifying the transgenic plants comprising the elite event EE-1."
